The Fetish Fair ends on September 2nd, so you’re nearing your last chance to check out what’s on offer. Roawenwood has two new releases at the fair, both at a 50% discount, and I am taking a look at one of them in this post: the Enchained dance set.
Suddenly, it is ferociously hot here and of course I had picked today for a thorough house cleaning. Perhaps that is why I was inspired to make this photo of someone working in warm conditions! New releases by Roawenwood, Tableau Vivant and ieQED are featured in this “crafty” post.
It isn’t just Romp that is giving a look at the kinkier side of Second Life right now. The current round of the Fantasy Collective caters to a particular kind of fantasies and it is there that we find this bold Courtesan gown from Fallen Gods & Faida. Another pair of ongoing events are the Secret Affair and of course Hair Fair, both represented with new releases from Noble Creations and LeLutka.
Fortunately, I don’t need my voice to write a blog post, because its been mostly gone for the last few days thanks to this virus. I’ve also had an incredibly sore throat and I am just so done with being sick right now. The weather has been glorious (if a bit too hot) and I’ve mostly been coughing in bed. But, enough about my misery and onto a mix of new items from among others Noble Creations, ieQED and Silentsparrow. I decided to setup this scene in our new castle by Fanatik—if I am going to decorate every room, I will need a lot of new furnishings!
Roawenwood (whose store has recently been remodelled and there is to be a photo contest on the sim) has a lovely summery swing with plenty of animations (single & couple) at the Fantasy Collective. I thought it deserved a bit of a floral theme for my accessories as well, so I went with some recent releases by Noble Creations and ieQED. I am also wearing a hair from Alice Project’s Summer Fun event, which offers one free hair per day in special colour packs and an extra bonus pack for those in her VIP group (which you really should join if you’re a hair addict since right now—today being the last day—the price is 50% of the usual joining price and you can then pick up the gifts you’ve missed).
Aisling has a couple of new releases out for the Whimsical event and the Isfyr harness was (unsurprisingly) irresistible to me. A sexy leather or latex harness with optional lace panels on the side and with draped chains as further accents. The fatpack is available at a discount at the event and comes with a HUD that gives you 16 colours for the straps, several metal options and tinting options for the lace panels. Fitmesh sizes for Maitreya and Slink are included and as you can see the fit is quite divine on the Slink Physique body. I can’t quite decide if it looks sexiest from the front or the back, so I’ve included shots of both.
A sudden heatwave, intent on making up for what has been a rather dreary spring so far, has made sitting in front of a computer less than comfortable. Alas, my work involves sitting right there, so from time to time I might as well take a break to play around in Second Life (one of the benefits of working for yourself). It seemed appropriate to use one of the houses in our little desert considering the weather.
There’s easter preparations waiting for me, but I cheated and took these photos yesterday to be all set for a post today. Well, all set except for the writing, of course. What we have today that is new is a bed from Noble Creations, jewellery from the Plastik and ieQED and a hair from Wasabi Pills. Plus a reminder about this being the last weekend of the Skin Fair.
The March round of We Love Role-Play opens at 3 pm today. I wont be home by then, so I will have to check it out in a few days, but fortunately I have some shiny things to show you as a sneak peak. Judging by the previews, this round will have a good mix of items, but the jewellery may be particularly outstanding this time as evidenced by these releases from Luminary, Aisling and ieQED. You are also getting a better look at the Rebecca skin which Adam n Eve will be releasing the Skin Fair.
The latest release from Silent Sparrow, a beautiful tattoo, inspired me to ditch my clothes and head for the woods wearing nothing but the latest set from ieQED. I opted for summery woods this time, however, even though it is still very much winter here in Sweden. But I do like having our sim setup to cater to different seasons all at once, even if it perhaps lacks in cohesion that way.
A bit of an evening quickie with another harness/panties set from ieQED, a new hair from Wasabi Pills and makeup from alaskametro.
We just finished putting up our RL tree, which put me in the mood for a tree in SL as well. I brought out the fantastic Christmas tree from Libertine from 2014 which has an amazing scripted system for decorating it with ornaments that you can obtain from various sources. There’s a new version out this year at the Midwinter Fair and new ornaments in a gacha there; you will need the 2015 version of the tree to use both 2014 and 2015 ornaments.
It is almost We Love Role-Play time and in addition to a great line-up of items for sale, there is also a hunt and a bunch of gifts. In this post, I am showing items from Noble Creations, ieQED and lassitude & ennui. At the same time, that always-frustrating gacha, the Arcade, is also going on and even though I stuck to a single machine my budget went out the window without a completion. Fortunately, the set in question—MadPea‘s Return of the Light—included some pretty cool pieces for use on their own.
Its My Attic time at the Deck again, with new offerings at great prices from among others Bushu and Luxuria. In addition to that, ieQED has completed their Jellybean set with another release at Shiny Shabby and Trompe Loeil has a stylish settee our for Collabor88.
Physique Hourglass, a second mesh body from Slink, has just been released. In terms of the technical features (such as the alpha cuts on the HUD, the tinting and so on), these are the same as on the regular Physique body. And yes, your Physique appliers will all work on Physique Hourglass as well. However, as this body is not made with the idea of providing an improved version of the basic Second Life shape which still stays relatively close to that shape, mesh clothing is a different matter. As with other bodies who deviate significantly from the basic shape, Physique Hourglass may need mesh clothing made specifically for that body for the best results (such as the lingerie set included with the body).
To give a look at Physique Hourglass as well as a sense of how it and the regular Physique body differ from each other, I’ve done four comparison shots, using two different shapes. I believe this shows some of the possibilities of each mesh body.
