The latest releases from Voluptas Virtualis are both for the current round of the Fetish Fair, so it is no wonder that they paired very well with the Kivna Karcero Throne from Roawenwood which features both maledom and femdom animations, with more room given to the latter. The Angela outfit with the Duchess ballet heels definitely called for the poses from the femdom menues, so I called in Ran to be my boytoy.
I didn’t feel like switching out of Slink’s Miranda head just yet, so I found another new skin from the Skin Fair to try on her, namely Gwenyth from 7 Deadly s[K]ins. A pretty match, I think, and I also like the look of the eyeshadow and lipstick from alaskametro’s Fire collection. Very sassy, just like the Amber bodysuit from Voluptas Virtualis.
The beautiful hair is Hanami by Wasabi, which includes both a regular (second image) and windblown (first image) version. There are also add-on petals for the windblown version. The decor (rug, candle, book) is all from Libertine.
Skin Fair isn’t just about skins any longer. Mesh body parts and mesh heads are a big part of it as well and one of the new releases this year comes from Slink. Miranda is the 6th female head in the Visage Redux range of Bakes-on-Mesh heads. She has lovely dimples and a narrow chin, making it easy to create a heart-shaped or a bit foxy look. I decided to pair her with the new Andy skin from alaskametro, also a Skin Fair exclusive. This is meant as an androgynous skin and has quite marked cheeks. The result on Miranda is strong rather than conventionally pretty, but I really like the effect.
Dutchie has a new release on the way (due tomorrow, in fact), a modern canopy bed with a bit of an industrial touch thanks to the metal frame. It blends the classic elements of a canopy with clean, strict lines and offers six different colours for the cover. Of course, since it is Dutchie, what is under the hood of the bed is also very important. This particular bed comes in three flavours: PG, Adult and Femdom. All versions have All have AVsitter experience enabled for auto attaching of props and all the animations utilize Bento hands. As it is the Femdon version that offers some new functionality, the review focuses on that one. Please note that some of the images included could be considered fairly explicit even if they do not show much detail.
Given this, I want to note the new releases that I am wearing before the cut. The corset is from Voluptas Virtualis for Kinky (available for Belleza Freya, Maitreya Lara and Slink Hourglass) and the hairstyle is by Wasabi for Uber. The eyeshadow is from alaskametro’s new Fire set, also available at Uber.
The animals (that’d be our two dogs and our horse) have kept us very busy the last two weeks, so I am sadly having very little time for Second Life. But I have had this one photo I have wanted to do for a while and yesterday I finally managed to get the setup done.
It all came down to this lovely, rustic bridge from Dutchie (and no, there isn’t an adult version!) which I have been trying to blog for, well, months. The problem has been that I have been too lazy to re-landscape a section of the sim to incorporate a large enough river. In the end, I decided that the river that runs under this bridge used to be wider, but has narrowed over time. Then it worked perfectly with the riverbed from Fanatik.
The Plastik—or Petrichor & Lune as the brand is transitioning to—has two whole gachas out at the January round of the Epiphany. Both are fantasy outfits that apart from clothing and accessories also include fantasy ears and horns. For this post, I picked the Variela gacha, which made me think of something a seductive djinn would wear. Hence the tent in the desert and the unsuspecting sleeper being paid a surprise visit.
In just a couple of days (January 10th) a new round of La vie en pose opens, and this particular round also happens to be the naughty edition. Single poses, couple poses, group poses and pose accessories like backdrops, it will all have an adult spin. I don’t think I need to say more for you to know that there will definitely be some NSFW shots in this and forthcoming coverage of the event.
To start with, I selected a pose stool from Sassy Sweet Poses and set it against a backdrop from anxiety. Note, however, that the backdrop is not from La vie en pose, but instead it is part of a massive box of older builds that anxiety has put out for an extremely low price. A fantastic deal for blogging and this art deco-inspired set happened to be just perfect for the outfit I wanted to wear, from the Roaring 2020s gacha by deviousMind.

New Year’s parties are mostly a thing of the past for me (we have a cosy night in with the dogs instead), but I remember how melancholy they used to make me. Actually, “melancholy” doesn’t quite capture it for me, I have to resort to Swedish and “vemod”. It is closely related to melancholy and nostalgia, but with a somewhat different resonance. It specifically relates to something beautiful or enjoyable that has passed and the realisation that it won’t come back. It usually strikes right after you’ve been really happy, when you slow down a bit and reflect on things. I wanted to get across a little of that in these pictures.
I do love an opportunity to bring my Teeglepet animesh horses into my photos. It isn’t always easy and I am waiting eagerly for more poses and animations made for posing with your horse, because it can be tricky to make a good composition without that. In this case, I used one of the built-in horse & rider poses and then a couple of stand-alone poses for myself with the horse looking pretty in the background in the new Dapple Rose coat from Cinnamon. This is a new release for Redeux (which just opened) and is available for both Teegle (pets and the avatar) and Water Horse a 25% off during the event.
After a very busy first weekend of December, I am trying to slow the pace down a bit and enjoy the build-up to the holidays by slowly getting into a Christmas mood. This dress by Faida and Velvet Whip was not intended as a Christmas dress, but I would definitely like to have it for a Christmas party, especially in this frosty silver colour. The dress is will be available at We Love Role-Play when it opens in a few hours, together with a L$50 Christmas special. The earrings I am wearing are in fact the L$50 item from another vendor, Bliensen + MaiTai. Make sure to check all the stalls so that you don’t miss any of them!
My hair is a new style by Wasabi, available with and without bangs and featuring a pretty texture-change ribbon. It is out at Tannenbaum and so is the candle from the Plastik, which includes holdable versions for both your left and right hand as well as a rezzable version. A HUD provides plenty of texture options.
No, I haven’t opened a new store in Second Life. The little shape collection lives happily on the Marketplace and will probably remain just there for now. However, if I were to need a new store build, MyStore—the new modular store-building set by Fanatik—would be a serious contender. Want to get a closer look at it? I made a video showing the building blocks and the five pre-made store builds.
Glorious October, Bakes on Mesh is finally in Firestorm! Oh, and yeah, its THAT month in Second Life, where the whole grid goes Halloween-mad. There’s no escaping that and with Bakes on Mesh available to me I can dig up all sorts of older skins, makeups and tattoos that suit the theme. Even better, because all of those are individual layers (okay, it isn’t so good for my inventory but it has been a lost cause for many years) I can easily see what I am wearing when the time comes to get the credits sorted.
In these images, I am wearing the Bakes on Mesh-ready Athena head from LightStar with a Tuli skin, alaskametro makeup and silentsparrow tattoos. I am going to get a lot of mileage out of my LightStar heads now that I am not limited to Omega appliers.
I definitely have a weakness for the Oops! line from Faida and Velvet Whip, with clothing that transforms from perfectly elegant and innocent to more than a little naughty with a simple click. The pieces are all scripted for roleplay interactions as well, with the option to allow another avatar to do the stripping. There are also optional emotes to go with the various stages of clothing removal.
Their latest release, available at We Love Role-Play, struck me as somewhat Roman-inspired, so I added a hairstyle in a similar vein by Bliensen + MaiTai (also from WLRP) and headed to our bath house by Tia. I am also wearing a collar and a set of cuffs from the Plastik for the Fetish Fair.
I could not think of where to photo the lovely Midsummer outfit from deviousMind. It deserved some place magical and fanciful and I did not have the energy to put something like that together right now. And then Searlait Nitschke announced that she was done with her rebuild of the Roawenwood sim. It sounded fantastic from her description and once I got there, it did not disappoint. It is like a permanent Fantasy Faire sim, with plenty of beautiful spots to discover, and I found just what I needed to photo the elaborate Midsummer gacha where swarms of butterflies cover up the essentials and carry ribbons of fabric and an elaborate bustle that further add to the outfit. It is available at Whimsical which is open until the 12th of September.
The latest release from Dutchie is a wooden stage, made to fit in a corner, with a vintage-style rig with lights. The stage and the lights are separate pieces, so you can adjust how high above the lights sit or even use the stage or the lights on their own. There are several colour presets for the lights via a menu and it is also possible to set each light to a separate preset or even to go in and make manual edits. That opens up a lot of options for how the lights look as long as you are comfortable with a bit of editing. Instructions are included in the information notecard.
