Visiting Paradise

With this kind of outfit, my go-to kind of location has been a desert-y environment. But I’ve taken a lot of shots at Kingdom of Sand and at our own little desert, so I went looking for something else and came across Fruit Islands Tropical Rainforest. Since the dress by Senzafine is for the Conquest, a Game of Thrones-inspired event, lets just say my character is visiting the Summer Isles and marvelling at the local flora and fauna. The hair I am wearing is by Wasabi Pills for the same event.

Harnessed

The latest release from the Plastik includes a top and two dresses, one of which I am showing in this post together with the matching high heels. The Desdemona Harness Dress features a distinct shape with the patterned overskirt coming down in points on each side of your body, making it look a bit like a scooped out ballgown. There’s some added width in the hips as well (but this style sells it well, making it look as if it is part of the dress) whereas the dress is quite fitted in the bodice. An optional harness fits over the bust and up around the neck for the perfect finish to this look. The dress comes in standard sizes plus an M2 option that fit me so well on top that I didn’t need any alphas for the bust and the harness went on without any breakage. I am wearing the Opera colour/pattern here, a gorgeous bronze-hued option, but as usual it comes in enough colours to make it very hard to decide which one to get. The matching heels feature the same pattern and a seriously tall stiletto heel.

Nevermore

We’ve reached the end of May and with it the end of the World Goth Fair is near; the last day is tomorrow, June 1st. I am saying my dark farewell in a gown by Pale Empress and slithery accessories by House of Rain.

The Audience

Senzafine‘s release for The Fantasy Collective is a gown with some of the most lush textures and striking colour combinations that I’ve seen in Second Life. As often happens when I have something really pretty to blog, I found myself a bit daunted—how could I do it justice? I’ll leave it up to you to decide how well (or not) I managed. I did decide I needed to call in my favourite prop, aka Ran, to make more of a scene of it.

Bar Hopping

The May edition of My Attic at the Deck is in full swing and Bushu is once again participating with a new pair of sexy, dangerously high heels that give you legs that seem to go on forever. Paired with a little black dress from the Plastik, I was all set to leave my usual fantasy worlds behind for a night out.

The Guardian

We Love Role-Play has just opened its 2 year anniversary round and it is a fittingly spectacular round, with many great offers and plenty of designers with celebratory gifts. Some of my favourite pieces this round come from aisling, PXL and the Plastik.

Gone Fishin’

A magician has come to Odyssey, to brave its depths and seek out the elusive creatures that live within them. In a strange, spell-forged sphere he has gone beneath the surface and encountered a mermaid. With his power, he has drawn her out of the caves where she was hiding.

Beneath the Waves

Each year some of the most imaginative creators in Second Life produce stunning sim builds for the Fantasy Faire. Astonishingly enough, all that work is on display for a very short time, then the Fairelands disappear until next year, when they return in a new guise. But in some cases, you can take pieces of the Faire home with you. This year, this is true for (among others) the Odyssey sim which was built by Alia Baroque of Fallen Gods.

Nightwing

Once, she had loved the sun. Gliding through the air on golden wings, she would bask in its warm rays. But one spring morning, she landed deep within the woods of Tangleshimmer Grove. Snow still blanketed the ground there, where high trees blocked out much of the sunlight. She shivered at first, and thought of flying away at once, yet something made her stay.

It was then that the winter fae made himself known, a pale figure that seemed to materialize from the snow itself. He was mesmerized by her, and she by him.

The Fairy-Queen’s Lover

Yesterday, we showed you a few glimpses of the Fairelands for this year’s Fantasy Faire. Today, we have let the Muses inspire us to stage a feast in the woods. Titania is your hostess and she’s bedecked in jewellery from the Plastik and hair from Analog Dog, while her handsome knight wears garments by Stitched and hair by Wasabi Pills.

Springtime Romance

The spring edition of The Seasons Story is here and aisling has released a lovely little collection of quite varied pieces, two of which I will be featuring in this post together with a new hair from Entwined for We Love Role-Play. I’ve also been hard at work (well, occasionally at work, anyway) on getting this corner of our sim a bit more landscaped, though it is still a bit of a work in progress.

An Invitation

I am still digging my way out of a bit of a hole, but I do have a lot of inspiring things in my inventory that wants my attention, such as this outfit by the Plastik which I’ve had on for some days but not quite found the right setting for. But then I picked up one of Trompe Loeil‘s new items for Collabor88 and it started coming together.

Skin Fair 2015: Tuli

Skin Fair 2015 is only a few days away (March 13th) and it brings with it a welcome return to the world of Second Life skins: a new release by Tuli. Her skins have been among my favourites for a very long time and I still wear some of the previous releases now and then and would do so with regularity if they only had Physique appliers. As tends to be the case with my skin posts, I prefer to go light on clothing to show the body as well as the face, but I could not resist some accessories by aisling, Sax Shepherd Designs and ieQED. I am also giving a look at a skybox from Dysfunctional Designs that I soon hope to show more of.
