We Love Role-Play welcomes you to its March round. Its definitely getting to be spring weather outside in real life, but the Thyra outfit from Rakshasa with its luxurious fur wrap on top of the gown and the apron still made me think of snow. I love all the options in the fatpack, not just in the way of textures but you can also choose your sleeve length and of course go with or without the apron and the fur. The braided headband with the gold ornaments looks like it might have been a part of the Rakshasa outfit, but it is actually from Bliensen + MaiTai. It sits very prettily on the thick braid from No.Match. I am also wearing new eye appliers from lovelysweet, from a pretty set called Kore that features beautiful jewel tones.
The rustic well is by MoonSha and comes in four different texture variants and include one version without animations and one with single animations (male and female) and couple animations.
Need props for Medieval scenes? Then Del-ka Aedilis should be among your first stops. The latest addition to their range of Medieval decor is a dovecote set that includes both a wall-mounted and a free-standing dovecote as well as palisade fencing if you were to build it up outside. The pieces also include versions with snow on. But I opted for using just the two dovecote versions and placing them on the top level of Fanatik’s Chillon Tower, which conveniently has openings all around for birds to fly out and in.
The Del-ka Aedilis set is available at the current round of We Love Role-Play and so is the outfit I am wearing, Rakshasa’s Callan set and the matching boots. It has a bit of an elvish feel to it, though done up in red and black (the fatpack has quite the spread of textures to choose from) I suppose it feels rather Targaryen. Especially since I have a habit of giving myself pale hair when using a male body.
A long-forgotten throne, hidden away in a secret chamber. And its guardian, waiting for someone to rediscover the treasures of an ancient empire.
Lore has a fabulous set of Egyptian-inspired pieces out at We Love Role-Play, as well as some matching vases available at the mainstore. The throne includes single and couple poses, though I have to repeat my little niggle from the MoonSha throne: I would love some more throne-appropriate sits. Otherwise, I love the look of this gaudy, over-the-top throne. The large ankh floats mysteriously in the air and the smaller versions attach to your hand and float above your palm. You have several options for metal and gem textures via a hud, for both the throne and the ankhs.
For my outfit I wanted something a bit Sword & Sorcery, which the Amarylis set from Petrichor and Ersch provided. It comes, as always, with a ton of texture options. My hair is another Wasabi & Truth collaboration, a very long and sleek style called Spirit.
This highly irregular vlogger has made a video again! This time to show off Dottie the Dalmatian, the latest Teeglepet which has been released at We Love Role-Play, and a gorgeous gown from returning favourite the Muses, also out at the same event. I think I will let the video do most of the talking this time, but of course you can find credits below the image as usual.
We Love Role-Play opens its February round tomorrow and if you have a hankering to sit on a throne, this round is offering some excellent options. From MoonSha comes the imposing Dragon Throne, available in several striking textures, some solid and some two-toned. This is “Inferno”, which I thought was particularly fitting given the name. The throne also comes in Single, PG and Adult versions, which of course determines the animations offered. I would have liked to see a few more…imperious sitting animations and ideally having the sits divided up across menus according to style. When I am aiming to look like a conqueror, cute isn’t what I want. But its a minor quibble.
However, yes, in this instance, looking like a conqueror was definitely my goal, seeing as I donned the Rowan armour from Poet’s Heart. This armour includes male and female fits and cool texture options for both the plate and the mail. I like the way it fits, neither adding too much extra bulk or slimming you down.
The crown, which happened to have a texture option that matched the throne really well, is by Nefekalum. It would look even better if I was using a PBR viewer, but I haven’t switched over yet. I may have to try the Firestorm alpha again, though I didn’t like that it removes the option to turn off Advanced Lighting, since I usually only have that on for photos even if I have a machine that can handle having it on all the time.
Finally, the black face tattoos are by Core & Gore, adding a touch further fierceness to my appearance.
This will be short and sweet because I’ve been knocked out by a cold/flu/whatever and my brain is rather mushy. But We Love Role-Play is still on for a few more days (until the 28th) and there you can pick up the elegant Gravitas service chair by Dictatorshop. It includes both femdom and maledom animations, but since my partner has been struck by the same illness we were not quite in the mood to explore it any further. ;) I do love the look of this chair, however, and could see placing it in both modern and role-play settings.
My barely-there outfit is by Petrichor & Ersch for the November round of Kinky. The asymmetry really makes this design pop.
Finally, we have the hair which is a brand new Wasabi release for the Fifty called Kitten. Sleek and versatile, it can be worn four different ways and with or without hair clips.
For the independent adventuress, the Flor outfit and matching boots from Sweet Kajira are a perfect choice. Perhaps she is a pirate or a mercenary, but either way she is the kind of woman who can visit an inn on her own, certain that she can handle any trouble that comes her way. The textures on this set are really nice and the fatpack HUD offers a wide range of mixing and matching options. You’ll find it at We Love Role-Play for a few days more!
The gorgeous curly hairstyle is by Truth and is aptly named Bounce, of which it has plenty. My skin here is Otrera by Nar Mattaru in Olive, one of my favourites, and the shape an in-progress work for Zora and Legacy.
The build is one of the Medici townhouses by Del-ka Aedilis and I liked the idea of trying something different with this one, so I set it up as an inn. It has a large room on the first floor and a large room on the second floor, so that could serve as a common room and a sleeping loft.
Its early to hope for snow, but I am starting to long a bit for it, especially the way it brightens the dark november nights. Fortunately, I can get a little taste of it in Second Life. For this round of We Love Role-Play, Konoha has a beautiful orangerie available and it comes in two versions; with and without snow. I took the snowy version and set it amidst a snowy landscape. For a dash of colour, I choose the Matilda dress from Rakshasa and used the HUD to select a black and red combination. This versatile dress (with its matching hat) can be worn with long or short sleeves and with a long or short skirt. It certainly has a witchy feel to it with the hat, but less so without it, making it versatile in that regards as well. The white heels that you see peeking out beneath the hem in the first shot are from Sass, a nice low-heeled shoe option.
Finally we have the hair from the Truth Collective (Truth & Wasabi), a very charming double pony-tail called Pudding which is out at Access. It is very sleek on top so worked perfectly with the hat.
When preparing dinner, it is important to use the right mushrooms. Of course, what the right mushroom is depends on the goal of the dinner. With Static’s Mushroomery prop for We Love Role-Play you can identify a few suitable candidates if your meal involves murder. The book (which comes with a HUD for changing the leather and metal textures) is meant to held in either the right or left hand as seen in the first photos, but I also wanted to do a close-up and for that I placed it on the mantlepiece of the fireplace from Cabal. The pot heating up over the fire, the kite shield resting against the wall and the drinking horn converted into a candle are also from Cabal and all for We Love Role-Play.
The same is true for the beautiful Frigg gown from Enfant Terrible. Inspired by dress of Norse women during the Viking age, Frigg is the gown of a woman of some means, with finespun wool and linen adorned by the typical brooches (here joined by beaded strands) and a metal girdle. In the fatpack, the HUD allows mixing and matching between different dress and overdress colors and also includes options for the metals and beads. Not worn here is a fur shoulder piece and a crown of oak wreathes that are also part of the Frigg outfit.
Also new but for Anthem is Wren, a versatile double pigtail hairstyle from Wasabi. It includes style options for the bangs and texture options for the hairties.
Sunset over a beautiful temple and an ancient olive grove by the sea, and a priestess is bringing a tray of offerings. What you see in these images are just a few of things that will be available when the November round of We Love Role-Play opens tomorrow, offering new releases at discounts of between 15% and 30%.
Short Leash has a fun set called “Charm School” out at We Love Role-Play and it served as the inspiration for a school-themed setup. The set includes the globe, the inkwells and the candle and includes a HUD with texture options. As my outfit I picked the flirtatious Thirteen from deviousMind, which definitely has a gothic school uniform vibe. The lovely amethyst colourway is matched by the eyeshadow from Rubedo, also available in several other colours and with matching lip tints. The dress and the makeup are also from WLRP, and all items have a discount of between 15% and 30% for the event.
The cute hairstyle is another excellent Truth Collective release, a collaboration between Truth and Wasabi. I also wanted to mention the head I am using. It is the rereleased Bella from Logo, now with EvoX support, and I have to say it is much more versatile now. A very nice update!
What is the note slipped between the pages of the slim volume about? A warning? A secret assignation? Perhaps the message was found by chance, meant for someone else entirely?
From We Love Role-Play’s September round comes a collaboration between Portal and Barracuda. The Oren set, which includes a belted tunic and pants, comes in a silk and a rough leather version. Each includes several colour combinations for mixing and matching between tunic and pants and the set includes fits for Legacy Male and Legacy Athletic. This event exclusive release is sold at 25% off.
Also from WLRP are the Lune eyes by Musa, which you can see a close-up of in the second picture. The colour I am wearing is from the Fantasy pack and you can get it and the other colours at 30% off while at the event.
Finally, I’m using yet another torch from the set by Tirrany Designs, which is 25% off.
With the current offer from The Shops to buy one of their bodies for 50% off if you’re wearing a qualifying body from another brand, I went ahead and picked up the Legacy Athletic male body to have more options for blogging male outfits. And then I jumped right into the Ubbe set from Rakshasa for We Love Role-Play. The set consists of tunic, pants and belt, all with a distinctly Viking-inspired look. As usual, the fatpack is a fantastic option for customisation, as the HUD allows so much mixing and matching of colours. The texturing is really top-notch on these pieces, both in terms of evoking a fabric and in the hues of the colours.
LR Weapons has two pieces at WLRP and for these photos I opted for the Andel Bow, making my character into a wandering hunter who comes across a strange altar in the woods. The altar, or rather the Stone of Knowledge, is one of Angelicus’s releases for WLRP. Fundati and Fanatik provided some of the other decor elements while my hair is by Magika who has been including male sizes for her releases of late.
In a forest clearing sits a cosy cottage. If the weather allows, the window shutters and the door stands open, welcoming any visitor who might be seeking out the herbalist.
The Herbalist’s Cot Heiltrud and the various furnishings (alcove bed in PG or Adult, worktable, fireplace, chair and shelf) are by Del-ka Aedilis for We Love Role-Play, with each piece sold separately. The cottage has two versions, one with and one without flowers and herbs on the outside. There are also alternative pieces for the fireplace, worktable and chair.
The pretty embroidered gown is a collaboration between Les Encantades and Una and judging by this dress they should do more! I really like the texturing, it feels a bit unusual, and its nicely fitted. For ornamentation, I added the Ekka headband from Angelicus. And, of course, the pretty Harmony hairstyle from Wasabi comes with the lovely flowers (but can also be worn without).
Its the 4th which means we’re getting another round of We Love Role-Play today and this is a really good one! The star of my first post is undoubtedly the Samantha lehenga for Zaara, a more modern take on the classic lehenga inspired by Bollywood movies. In the fatpack you can mix and match blouse and skirt colours as well as border colours. The cut of the blouse is very sexy and gives a fantastic look to your cleavage.
I paired the lehenga with two more pieces from the event; a collar from Sigma and heels from Sass. Both offer texture options via a HUD.
The hair is from Wasabi for Uber, a high pony tail that is loosely twisted and tied off.
