Tuli is back with several new releases and as it happened they went beautifully together with the Fantasy Gacha Carnival gown from Fallen Gods and Faida and a hair from Magika that I had managed to forget about showing off after I bought it.
More from the Epiphany gacha today and this time it is another excellent collaboration between Faida and Fallen Gods, combined with a Hair Fair release by LeLutka and a new group gift skin from Tuli. The final touch is a pair of new Bushu shoes, coming for My Attic’s next round.
From a wintery wood to a camp in the desert, to show off new releases by Jian, Luminary and ieQED, matched with older ones from Tuli and Exile.
Time for a few more pieces from World Goth Fair, this time courtesy of Senzafine, Bliensen + MaiTai and Black Tulip. Paired with these are items by Calico and the Plastik.
The spring edition of The Seasons Story is here and aisling has released a lovely little collection of quite varied pieces, two of which I will be featuring in this post together with a new hair from Entwined for We Love Role-Play. I’ve also been hard at work (well, occasionally at work, anyway) on getting this corner of our sim a bit more landscaped, though it is still a bit of a work in progress.
Skin Fair 2015 is only a few days away (March 13th) and it brings with it a welcome return to the world of Second Life skins: a new release by Tuli. Her skins have been among my favourites for a very long time and I still wear some of the previous releases now and then and would do so with regularity if they only had Physique appliers. As tends to be the case with my skin posts, I prefer to go light on clothing to show the body as well as the face, but I could not resist some accessories by aisling, Sax Shepherd Designs and ieQED. I am also giving a look at a skybox from Dysfunctional Designs that I soon hope to show more of.
The Fairytale Tower pose prop from Exposeur was another find at the One Word event. I actually used it as the setting for my previous post too, setting up a throne in the inner room of the tower, but of course it needed its own post too. The prop includes five single poses (and mirrors of each) as well as three couple poses. The single poses are my favourites, each capturing a classic “princess in a tower” pose. The couple poses also capture a very fairy-tale like feel, especially the one which has the dashing prince climbing over the railing to steal a kiss, but as with all couple poses they can be a bit fiddly if your avatars aren’t of the expected sizes. The tower itself actually makes for a very nice decorative structure as well; I can definitely see having this out permanently, perhaps with some trees and other landscaping around.
The Eunice gacha from Aisling for the new Tales of Fantasy event which opens on June 10th is one of those sets I couldn’t resist shooting all on its own, with no distracting clothing. Its jewellery for a temptress.
The set consists of one ultra rare (the chestpiece) which comes HUD for customising the metals and the accents as well as one rare (the headpiece) in each of the three metals and three commons in each of the three metals. The work is stunningly intricate and as the chestpiece is mod you should be able to use it on a range of shapes. It is very well modelled and I found it quite easy to adjust to my shape.
The Fantasy Faire has now been going on for a few days and many of you have probably had a chance to visit. If you are anything like me, you probably have favourite stores that you check out first. I even tend to go so far as to make a list of stores to visit for each sim, just to keep myself organised. But if you always head for the known quantities, how are you going to find those exciting new things? The “My New Shiny” Blogger Challenge is about encouraging bloggers—and everyone else—to branch out a bit. When I was on my browsing the sims during the blogger preview, I tried to do so with an eye towards finding something new that would catch my attention. That is how I came across Arx Loricatus. And when I needed an outfit to go with my fancy new sword, one of the review copies sent out seemed to fit particularly well. As it happened, it came from a brand that I’ve never blogged before either, 22769.
This is an exceptionally good month for fantasy events and I can only apologise in advance to all the creators who have sent gorgeous review copies that I may not have time to cover. I want to showcase as many as possible, but work isn’t leaving me time for more than a post or so a day at the moment.
One of the events on the table for May is We Love Role-Play, as always opening on the 4th of each month. The quality has really been on a steady upwards trajectory and the variety across different genres tends to be quite good as well. For this post, I am wearing one of the event gowns from The Muses together with a hair from Calico (also from We Love Role-Play) and jewellery from Sax Shepherd Designs (for the Fantasy Gatcha Carnival).
A new release from the Plastik generally means some sexy, versatile pieces in a wide array of colours and patterns. The latest release features a clothing layer bikini, a sexy dress and the distinctly minimal Raedra skirt which I picked out for this post.
Also featured in this post is my first hair purchase from EMO-tions. I cannot believe it has taken me so long to try them!
We Love Role-Play is now open and I am working on another set of photos to showcase some more items from there, but I thought I would sneak in a post from a couple of gatcha events as well, namely the Love & War gatcha (open) and the Secret Affair gatcha (opens on the 6th), to show case a gown from Junbug and more jeweller/accessories from aisling. I also wanted to feature the orchard trees from Dysfunctional Designs which we picked up from the Home Show.
The latest release from Dutchie might look deceptively simple at first, but with that simplicity comes a lot of fun and flexibility. The mesh wall rings are full of quality animations and can be set into any wall, allowing great flexibility in the sort of scenario you might want to use them for. Use the shiny rings for a more polished, comfortable surrounding and use the rusty versions for that bare stone wall in a dark dungeon. Your imagination is the only limitation.
Valentine’s Day isn’t really a big thing around here, but the Internet makes it impossible to miss it. And really, if you don’t feel pressured to buy into the commercial aspects of it, there’s nothing wrong with a bit of extra love. But rather than pink and sweet, I decided to go for a cupid with a bit of an edge, using most of the highly sought-after Faranth set (the ultra rare crown not included) from aisling at the Fantasy Gatcha Carnival together with the belt from the deviousMind Harpyia gatcha and a couple of the Huntress poses from HopScotch.
Aisling is a brand I have come to notice quite recently and the Fantasy Gatcha Carnival has ensured I won’t be forgetting about it anytime soon. Trying to complete the Gaia and Faranth set has been a source of some frustration for me the last week and I am still without the ultra rare crowns. However, I really wanted to showcase these gorgeous jewellery sets, so today I am wearing Gaia, minus the crown. I am also wearing the Tiernan belt, which is one of Aisling’s releases fro We Love Role-Play and I think it goes very well with the Gaia set.
