Time for another of those portraits inspired by The World of Ice and Fire. Both Ran and I are big fans of Dorne and we were absolutely thrilled that GRRM wrote so much about the region for the book. In particular, the story of how Nymeria led her people to Dorne and joined forces with Mors Martell made us squeal with excitement when we first read that part of the manuscript. So, of course I had to do an interpretation of Nymeria. There are a couple of great pieces of art in the book showing her as well, though in this case I didn’t really look at any of those.
This is a post of last minute reminders for A Tattered Page, My Attic and for various Black Friday sales. We’ve had a busy weekend (culminating in a dog show today), but its a few hours until midnight still (especially if you’re in a different timezone from us).
The Fantasy Collective has opened for a new round and the combination of Senzafine‘s gown and ieQED‘s crown proved irresistible to me. I paired with a pose from Picture This! for Mystic Realms Faire (closing soon!) and found myself a stalwart knight to protect me.
Mystic Realms Faire is open! Two sims full await you and trust me, there’s some really good things on offer. Plus, the sims themselves are gorgeous, though given the lag that usually accompanies events it may be hard to admire that aspect during the first days of the faire.
I am feeling very at home in a mystic realm today, with my avatar transformed into a Dragon Halfling thanks to Beastie Shack. I am also wearing MRF releases by Senzafine, ieQED and Exile.
A Clockwork Spiral is a steampunk-inspired event benefitting the National Kidney Foundation. There are many delightfully creative items on display from a wide variety of talented creators so do make sure to give it a good look before it closes in one week. For this post, I am wearing a coat by Senzafine and necklace by lassitude & ennui, just a very small selection of what the fair offers.
A lovely gown from We Love Role-Play, a taste of the jewellery fair and a new skin form the basis for this post. In the coming days, I expect to revisit the jewellery fair and do a full review of the skin (and its Physique appliers), but for now I am staying dressed (for once!).
This all started with lassitude & ennui’s gorgeous Buccaneer Boots for We Love Role-Play. Initially, I found myself at a loss for what to wear with them as my fantasy/history inventory consists of around 95% gowns, but then I remembered the Mirdain outfit by Senzafine. I accessorised with some gacha pieces from Sax Shepherd Designs and stayed in my new skin from Pink Fuel, topping off with a new hair from Truth.
August 1st is almost here now and with it the new round of Enchantment, inspired by Bluebeard. In this version, the curious princess has decided that a bloody key is likely to lead to bloody murder, so she makes sure to be ready for her husband’s wrath.
A new round of We Love Role-Play is just around the corner and for my first post for the July round I am heading to Egypt—or something very much like it, anyway—courtesy of Kalopsia’s awesome Sand of Time set. Also from the July round is the toga from !gO! and the jewellery from Bliensen + MaiTai.
Its Midsummer here today, but for my blogging I am abandoning Swedish traditions and heading out into the desert courtesy of the latest round of Genre - Arabia. I also added in a dash of Totally Top Shelf, a new event where the first round is inspired by Greek mythology.
For this month’s We Love Role-Play I transformed into an elven huntress and stalked the Wetlands sim which is a very well-done marsh/swamp environment.
In the midst of a steady stream of new releases, the Plastik has moved to a new location, so that is where you will find—among other things—the striking Living Lights Horns. These highly detailed mesh horns have an incredibly range of customisation options, covering all of your…err…horny needs. ;)
Genre’s latest round has opened and the theme is Fae. From mischievous fairies fluttering by on iridescent wings to dark lords and ladies of the hills, luring unwary humans to their doom, there are numerous myths and legends about the fae folks of the world. With the Aes Sidhe dress from Senzafine and the Cour de Cauchemars collar and crown by aisling, I wanted to capture something of the darker side of the fae.
We Love Role-Play continues to provide yet more gorgeous gowns and accessories. This time, the gown is courtesy of Senzafine and the headpiece is by On a Lark. The jewellery also comes with cuffs and the whole set is matched to a dress from On a Lark, also available at the event. The Solveig gown from Senzafine is available in four colours (including the Garnet seen to the right) at We Love Role-Play and in an additional set of colours (including the Indigo seen to the left) at her mainstore. The gown consists of a sleeveless undergown and the sleeved overgown with the bands across the chest. This allows for two very different looks in the same gown.
I couldn’t quite get out of the lovely Snow Queen skin from Jalwa just yet, so I added brows of a different colour (browless skins are so handy) and a lip tint to make it look a little less frosty and more suited for the gorgeous Thetis gown from Senzafine, another We Love Role-Play release. I thought it went really well together with the stunning Artifact set from Eclectica at the Jewelery and Accessories Expo.
