Just a little quick evening post with a recent release from Narcisse, the Helena dress. This beautifully draped dress is available at FaMESHed X and it earns its place at the adult event by having the option to be either solid or sheer, with the top and bottom controlled separately. If you do opt for sheer for the skirt, you can choose to turn on a pair of panties in a matching hue…or you can choose not to. ;) I think you can see by these pictures what I picked!
We’ve finally gotten some proper winter temperatures (but no snow, alas) so it seems perfect to warm things up with a review of Dutchie’s latest release, the Cocktail Lovers Chair. As it is packed full of carefully chosen animations, I opted for doing a video to show a selection of the PG couple animations as well as preview some of the additional menus available in the adult version of the chair. In addition to that, I have included a selection of photos with this post. There are naked pixels below, though nothing too raunchy even if there is plenty of options for that among the animations. The Adult chair comes 20 female and 20 male solo animations, 20 cuddles and kisses, 80 FP and sex animations and 11 sequences. It includes auto-attaching props (PG and Adult) and supports auto-tilting for Aeros (Adult only). Both versions of the chair offer 3 texture options for the fabric.
The Jaz hair from Wasabi, their release for the ongoing round of Uber, also includes a version with a hat. The bra & knickers from Junbug (which I picked up at her massive sale) include three versions for the bra and two for the knickers, at varying stages of undress.
Well, I haven’t been tricked by anyone today, though I suppose you could say my dog pranked me when he turned an obedience competition into more of a disobedience competition. He’s lucky that he’s cute, at least.
I didn’t go for either funny or Easter-themed with my photos either. Instead, I decided to try out the pool table from Apple Fall that I picked up at the big sale some time ago. It has some quite nice single poses (as well as cuddles and adult poses) which worked well for showing off this harness/lingerie from Voluptas Virtualis. Also new is the short, unisex hairstyle from Wasabi.
No, not for sale, but I did get dressed mostly in last Friday’s 50 Linden offerings, with items from the Plastik, Luxuria and Maxi Gossamer. I rarely have time to actually blog anything on Fridays, but I know the item from the Plastik (items, actually, as it is part of a larger set) at least will be out at a regular price once the 50 L offer has expired.
At first, my plan had been to do a video at Skin Fair, looking at some of my favourite new releases. But time ran away with me and I did not have time before it was open to the public. However, there is one new release at the fair which definitely deserves a video to properly demonstrate it, namely the new Petite Chest Augment from Slink. To show it as clearly as possible, I have opted for staying topless for much of the video, which means I have had to age restrict it just to be safe. I show the augment on both Slink bodies and demonstrate how it reacts to the sliders.
Just like yesterday, I am a bit late with this post in relation to the events that some of the new items in it were released at. February has been a very busy month and it could definitely have used a few extra days this year! Fortunately, the setup for this scene was extremely easy as it uses the pre-furnished bonus house from the first Shadow Box series by DRD.
We’ve reached March but the last week has been treating us to winds from Siberia, so I am not quite feeling that spring is in the air just yet. But the lovely Bellflower gown from Dreaming Thicket is definitely a dress for spring and fortunately its easy to have whatever season you like in Second Life. I do feel like I need to shop for some nice grasses and flowers to complete my landscaping, however; I always get stuck somewhere after I’ve tweaked the shape of the land and plopped down some rocks and trees.
The third Shadow Box in the first series of six from Death Row Designs was released yesterday. As with the second one, I decided to more of a reveal than an unboxing, to show the items in a planned setup. I admit, the theme of this box threw me for a little loop at first, since it is not the kind of furnishings that I tend to use in Second Life. However, after rezzing everything out, I really took a liking to the Dark version in particular.
To learn more about Shadow Box and how to subscribe, make sure to visit the DRD website linked above. And remember, if you get all six boxes in a series, there is a bonus item at the end.
The WorldCon in Helsinki is over and we’re starting to recover. We had a fabulous time going to panels, being on a panel, signing our book next to George R.R. Martin and of course going to parties. But now I am pleased to be sitting in my own chair for a while and travelling only within Second Life, which is a lot less strenuous! In order to do justice to as many as possible of the beautiful items that I have received over the last weeks, I will continue to keep my posts a little shorter for a while, to avoid being overwhelmed by the work.
Featured in this post is a new choker and corset from Voluptas Virtualis, a new hairstyle from Wasabi Pills and the rare demon Flutterpup from lassitude & ennui.
Aisling has two elaborate gachas out for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival and together with We Love Role-Play releases from the Muses and Paper Moon, it lent itself to a touch of oriental fantasy featuring a desert night and a hard-to-resist invitation.
Creativity can be a fickle thing and all of a sudden I struggle with my photos again, finding it hard to compose the scenes and fit all the pieces together. I think I am starting to feel as if I need to change something up, but I am not quite sure what. I will just have to experiment a bit, I suppose. In the meantime, I thought I would at least point you to some excellent bargains at the Wash Cart Sale.
This is actually my first time wearing a League skin even though I’ve demoed the brand on a number of occasions previously. Back when League was most active I was mainly looking for skins for a particular set of shapes, but now that I make shapes for sale I need a wider variety of looks, not the least when it comes to bento mesh heads. I have always thought League had a very nice, distinct look and I think it carries over quite well onto the Cate head from LeLutka. For this particular shape, I tried to stray a bit from Cate’s “comfort zone”, pushing for a more angular face.
