I recently reread Judith Tarr’s Alamut (which I cannot recommend enough if you like history, fantasy and romance) and it put me in the mood to do some desert scenes. Fortunately, Aisling and Bliensen+MaiTai had just the right items out at We Love Role-Play.
The sim of Dangarnon (built by Death Row Designs) portrays a fallen, darkness-claimed version of one of last years sims, the kingdom of Andolys. I dared to venture out into this dark city and found a little corner of reminders of its original glory.
After a brief absence, the Muses are back with four new gowns and it wasn’t easy for me to decide which one to pick up. But I managed to make up my mind and the gown I did pick went beautifully with Aisling’s release for the upcoming round of Enchantment which opens later today. Also covered in this post are Fantasy Gacha Carnival pieces from Velvet Whip and SWaGGa as well as a new hair from Magika.
The weather could not be more wintry in real life right now, as we just had some 30 cm of snow overnight. Glorious, I say, though quite the contrast to shooting the newest house from Barnesworth Anubis in our little desert. Also featured is a lovely dress by the Plastik, a classic updo from EMO-tions and an elegant furniture set from Roawenwood.
It is almost We Love Role-Play time and in addition to a great line-up of items for sale, there is also a hunt and a bunch of gifts. In this post, I am showing items from Noble Creations, ieQED and lassitude & ennui. At the same time, that always-frustrating gacha, the Arcade, is also going on and even though I stuck to a single machine my budget went out the window without a completion. Fortunately, the set in question—MadPea‘s Return of the Light—included some pretty cool pieces for use on their own.
I am still wandering about in our new build, this time in the dark dungeons below the upper levels. They are a little bare still as we search for suitable furnishings, but I am already feeling at home there. This post, however, is about a striking new updo hair from Calico for the Secret Affair as well as another lovely piece of jewellery from Aisling for We Love Role-Play.
The season has definitely changed, it was quite cold when we trained our dog Sunday evening, so what better event to dive into than the Seasons Story? It features new releases by for example Jian and Wasabi Pills. I’ve combined this with a sale find from Sn@tch and a ring with a bite from Eclectica.
There are few things as pretty as a forest full of autumn leaves and in Second Life that can last more than a brief time, as the leaves stay on the trees until you click the season change to winter. Using a little forest of Studio Skye trees as the backdrop, I setup the Wishing Well from Jian to take a few photos of a lovely Senzafine gown, turned slightly wicked by the ieQED hand jewellery.
A bit more ROMPing, as well as a touch of We Love Role-Play and just a hint of spookiness from The Liaison Collaborative is what I’ve got for you today, featuring creators such as Jian, Aisling and Luxuria.
This round of The Secret Affair is inspired by the Vikings. There was a lot of items with at best a very tenuous connection to anything remotely Viking-like, but then there were some very nice pieces as well, clearly showing the theme. Two of them were created by Aisling and I am showing one of them here, together with another favourite hair from Calico.
As soon as I saw a preview of DRD‘s Studios gacha for the Erotigacha event, I knew Ran and I had to get a few of those sets. As it turned out, we ended up with more than a few (including duplicates of the Casting Couch and the Roman set; contact me for trading) which looks likely to give me a lot of photoing excuses. The Medieval set, at least, was the perfect backdrop for some of my recent acquisitions.
ROMP’s summer fair is now open, offering a wide array of releases on the theme “elegant kink”. My favourite pieces this time around was some of the clothing, such as the latest collaboration between Fallen Gods and Faida. In these pictures, I’ve paired it with the matching male release from these two brands for the Arena as well as a release from Jian for the Fantasy Collective.
The latest release from the Plastik includes a top and two dresses, one of which I am showing in this post together with the matching high heels. The Desdemona Harness Dress features a distinct shape with the patterned overskirt coming down in points on each side of your body, making it look a bit like a scooped out ballgown. There’s some added width in the hips as well (but this style sells it well, making it look as if it is part of the dress) whereas the dress is quite fitted in the bodice. An optional harness fits over the bust and up around the neck for the perfect finish to this look. The dress comes in standard sizes plus an M2 option that fit me so well on top that I didn’t need any alphas for the bust and the harness went on without any breakage. I am wearing the Opera colour/pattern here, a gorgeous bronze-hued option, but as usual it comes in enough colours to make it very hard to decide which one to get. The matching heels feature the same pattern and a seriously tall stiletto heel.
If you’re not already all in black, its time to let your inner goth out to play because today the World Goth Fair by Cursed Events opens. The event sports an amazing, very appropriate build and an excellent selection of designers. In this post, I am giving just a little taste of that, combined with pieces from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, We Love Role-Play, The Secret Affair and the Dark Style Fair.
The Plastik is definitely more than fantasy clothes and accessories and the striking gown I am wearing in this post is just one of many examples of the versatility of the brand. Also featured is one of the new hairs from Calico for this round of We Love Role-Play.
