I have slipped a bit behind on my blogging of late, but this time it is Second Life itself that is to blame. More specifically, Jammin’s various construction sets. I had been eyeing those for a good while, and when the brand-new Dungeon Construction Set came out, I decided that with that set I could probably construct something castle-like. Not quite a castle yet, since the existing sets don’t quite lend themselves to a full-scale castle, but the dungeon set definitely offers a lot of new interior space options. So, our work in progress is the backdrop for this photo session, which also includes a dress from Fallen Gods and Faida, a necklace from Aisling and a statue from Paper Moon and the Muses under the Visage name.
A new round of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival has started and Aisling is participating with an elaborate, art nouveau-inspired jewellery set. I decided to stage the shot in one of our little patches of woodland, using the Titania’s Feast set from the Muses as part of the scene. I am also wearing a pair of brand new mesh eyes from PXL.
Fallen Gods has some fabulous new releases out for Wayward Halloween, including a charming Victorian-inspired gown created in collaboration with Faida. It seemed like a good fit for a library setting (courtesy of the library skybox from Garden of Dreams), especially together with some occult books from Paper Moon.
A new round of Romp, as always full of elegant kink, starts tomorrow (October 2nd). Two of the participating brands are Dutchie and Aisling and as it would happen their releases went rather well together. Now, I do want to stress before anyone dives into this post that it is most definitely NSFW. That was hard to avoid when Dutchie went and released a whole playroom full of furniture. In fact, it is such a large release that this post only looks at three of the five new items and even then it just scratches the surface as there’s over 200 animations in total. And guys, if your equipment is by Aeros, you will appreciate the new auto-tilting feature of these pieces.
Tuli is back with several new releases and as it happened they went beautifully together with the Fantasy Gacha Carnival gown from Fallen Gods and Faida and a hair from Magika that I had managed to forget about showing off after I bought it.
More from the Epiphany gacha today and this time it is another excellent collaboration between Faida and Fallen Gods, combined with a Hair Fair release by LeLutka and a new group gift skin from Tuli. The final touch is a pair of new Bushu shoes, coming for My Attic’s next round.
ROMP’s summer fair is now open, offering a wide array of releases on the theme “elegant kink”. My favourite pieces this time around was some of the clothing, such as the latest collaboration between Fallen Gods and Faida. In these pictures, I’ve paired it with the matching male release from these two brands for the Arena as well as a release from Jian for the Fantasy Collective.
The Conquest is a Game of Thrones-inspired event and among the brands present are Jian, Faida and Fallen Gods, the former with a new subbrand and the latter two by way of another excellent collaboration. I was pleased to see that there were a good many items that took inspiration from rather than copied too blatantly. For these photos, I paired the items with another event-release from Jian and a pair of gorgeous new eyes from Mayfly.
One of my oh so useful degrees is in classical history & Mediterranean archaeology, with a particular focus on the Bronze Age. I’m deeply fascinated by the Minoan and Mycenaean civilisations, both the historical and the legendary aspects. But I am not going to turn this into a lecture, just say that I was thrilled to see this collaboration gown from Faida and Junbug at The Fantasy Collective.
I am still digging my way out of a bit of a hole, but I do have a lot of inspiring things in my inventory that wants my attention, such as this outfit by the Plastik which I’ve had on for some days but not quite found the right setting for. But then I picked up one of Trompe Loeil‘s new items for Collabor88 and it started coming together.
This one will have to be a bit briefer than usual as a cold has knocked out both me and Ran but I really wanted to get some of my blogging obligations out of the way by showing you this beautiful gacha set from aisling for The Secret Affair, the second of Adam n Eve‘s skins for the Skin Fair and a closer look at the mesh eyes from Mayfly.
Its still almost all about skins (and makeups) for me right now, though I did slip into a dress this time since the body is one I have featured in the past. This face from PXL is all new, however, and I paired it with some makeups from elymode, all from the Skin Fair which is now open.
The collaboration between Fallen Gods and Faida that began quite recently has now produced yet another lovely gown and, even more fabulously, an outfit for those of the male persuasion as well. Ran and I thought our avatars would make a rather fetching couple when dressed in these creations, and fortunately I had some couple poses by An Lar that wanted to see some use.
Enchantment opens tomorrow, presenting its final round which is inspired by Beauty and the Beast. I found my way to the lavish library on Caelestium Isle to represent Beauty exploring the Beast’s castle.
