The Luxe range from DICTATORSHOP brings class and elegance to your home or perhaps to an upscale club. The furnishings offer a chance to relax in style on smooth velvets accentuated by shiny metals. Here I have combined the Ladies Chaise with the Floor Lamp set (which includes a single lamp with a small integrated table and a double lamp) and opted for the Copper metal option and the Cinnamon colour for the fabric. There are, of course, several more metal and fabric options, as always accessed via the DICTATORSHOP logo on each piece of furniture.
The Ladies Chaise comes in three versions in regards to the animations: PG, Adult Vanilla and Adult Kink Femdom. I am using the latter here though sadly on my own, but the classic smoking pose is from the femdom menu.
The sparkly little outfit is the very sexy Jade dress and matching bolero from Salt & Pepper, out for L$75 until the end of today. The hair, too, is a time-limited deal; a new hairstyle from Exile called Estelle, out for Fifty Linden Fridays.
I mentioned the Frou Frou event a little while ago and I thought it might be time for a reminder in the form of the second new release for the event from Voluptas Virtualis. This time, it is paired together with the newest Wasabi Pills hair from Ultra and an old favourite as far as furniture goes from Libertine.
It has been too long since I brought out my pony, aka my alt’s Teegle Bento Horse Avatar. But I recently sent her shopping for some fancy new tack so that gave me a good excuse to do these photos on horseback. Speaking of horses, the Water Horse wearable bento horse is also out now, but I am indecisive as to whether I should get that one too. It could get pricey to dress up two horses, if nothing compared to what it costs in real life (I just bought a new leather halter, and those don’t come cheap).
Also featured in this post are two new We Love Role-Play releases and a hair from a relaunched brand.
Evangeline Miles of Evie’s Closet has returned to creating for Second Life after a bit of a hiatus. Before the advent of mesh, her flexi gowns stood out from the crowd as she always managed to give them an ethereal feel. It is not easy to translate that to mesh, but I think that the textures and colours of her latest release capture some of that quality. There’s almost a feeling of watercolours over the texturing, and that gives the gown a lovely flow that suggests movement.
I have been engaging in a lot of rereading lately and my latest choice may be inspiring a few more or less NSFW pictures as I decided that it was finally time (well overdue, really) to revisit Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel’s Legacy series. I had (shame on me) almost forgotten how delicious that series can be. Now, if only someone in Second Life would make an appropriate set of eyes for an anguisette and perhaps a few marques as well…
But I digress (a little, anyway). However, certain elements of Kushiel’s Dart did inspire these shots. But when I started putting it together, it was also with a mind to show off the lovely stockings from Senzafine, so the clothing (or lack thereof) have a lot to do with that as well.
I seem to have brought home the flu from Barcelona, so this will be a fairly brief post, I am afraid. The focus of it is the new Muse set from Noble Creations, available at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The set includes the various metal accessories scene here—collar, bra and spine spikes, the latter only partially visible—as well as two versions of the belt and two different skirts. One is the lateral skirt I am wearing and the other is a full skirt. I rather liked the effect of combining this with the chainmail appliers from the Muses. My hair is from a gacha as well, Wasabi Pills for the Chapter Four.
This past weekend I decided to take the plunge and start a site redesign. So far, its looking similar, but underneath it should be more responsive and work on more screen sizes. I also plan to rework the overall look, but first I need all the basics sorted out. Until then, things may get a little messy from time to time, with links not working and so on. So, that absorbed my time for the last few days, but today I managed to finally get another video done. This one features another animated hair from Little Bones as well as an animated corset from the Plastik.
One of Roawenwood’s latest releases is the Einarr Stone Throne, available at a 25% discount at the current round of The Fantasy Collective. This called for Ran being not just behind the camera but also in the scene, since I could hardly be dancing seductively in front of an empty throne. He did not complain too much, however, especially not after seeing the set from Aisling that I was wearing.
I managed to squeeze into Collabor88 yesterday and came away with a new hair from Little Bones that essentially is four styles in one. To show it off properly, there’s a video to go with this post, so I will be brief here other than to mention that the post also features a new dress from alaskametro for Buy Now.
Last week was all about our dog, as we prepared for and went to a training camp. Now we’re back home and while we’re recovering from a rather intensive weekend I thought I’d squeeze in some photos. The first set features a dress by alaskametro (as well as an eyeshadow from the same brand) together with a new hair with attitude from Wasabi Pills.
For this round of We Love Role-Play, lassitude & ennui has created what can only be described as a classic female sword & sorcery outfit. My first thought was to shoot these pictures at Kingdom of Sand, which has been my go-to place for desert environments for years…only to learn that it disappeared last year! Fortunately, I came across the Tajukistan Tahari sim and its gladiatorial arena was just what I needed. Still, Kingdom of Sand will be greatly missed as a photo location and I think I will need to make another effort to turn our own little desert corner into something more usable. Alas, my landscaping skills are limited. But, enough about that!
Bliensen + MaiTai has released a necklace and a matching pair of earrings at two different events; the Eulalia necklace at Lost and Found (soon available at the mainstore, the Flickr notes) and the Eulalia earrings at We Love Role-Play. It has been a while since I focused just on a set of accessories with close-ups like these, but these pieces really deserved to be highlighted. Gold and silver versions are included and the earrings come with four different stone options. The Flickr notes that the necklace is inspired by Etruscan jewellery and I think they would make superb accessories for any roleplay look. In this case, I paired them with the Gilded Net outfit from the Muses.
The Fetish Fair ends on September 2nd, so you’re nearing your last chance to check out what’s on offer. Roawenwood has two new releases at the fair, both at a 50% discount, and I am taking a look at one of them in this post: the Enchained dance set.
This month Genre welcomes you to the Burlesque round. With pieces from Senzafine and deviousMind, I decided to stage the scene of a painting in progress. The Kiki masque from Senzafine comes in six colours and makes for a lovely accessory for both lingerie and gowns. And Lola la Riche from deviousMind is a very sexy jewelled harness for Maitreya and Slink Hourglass. The updo is from Calico for Hairology and is called Luna II
I am feeling knackered after a jumping lesson on a horse that must have a fair bit of sloth mixed into its genes. Whew. But even so, I managed to stage a little scene to show off the latest gown from Senzafine together with some furnishings from Noble Creations. And I dragged on Ran to do double duty as photographer and pretty prop.
