Zaara is participating in the current round of We Love Role-Play with the beautiful Umrao ensemble consisting of anarkali (dress), churidar (pants) and dupatta (scarf). For the first time, she’s offering both Maitreya and Legacy fits, including Petite and Perky versions. The colours and textures are impeccable (just look at the embroidery on the chest, such exquisite detail) and with the fatpack you are able to mix and match all the pieces in a variety of ways.
The Estrella skin by alaskametro is not new, but an updated version that also uses her updated skin tones will be available at the Skin Fair when it starts on the 11th (click here to learn how to get early access today). If you have already bought the skin, you can of course redeliver it to get the new version, you don’t have to buy it again. I really like the nose and the lips on this skin, they’re very nicely shaped. The Gel eyebrows are also from alaskametro and these are a Skin Fair exclusive. They include six colours (plus they are tintable) and both regular and EvoX fits.
Speaking of Skin Fair, I was hoping there’d be some interesting skins for the SLUV, but when I looked through the booths it was all EvoX among the new releases. I will need to give it a closer look, but it does seem like the market has become completely EvoX dominated. As someone who likes to use a variety of heads, its disheartening.
Redeux opened its doors to another round of discounted goodies yesterday and I have a few things to share with you. But first, a reminder about what Redeux is:
Redeux is a bi-monthly event taking place in the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December from the 14th to the 21st—Noon SLT.
In this event, you will find over 60 merchants offering both gacha and non-gacha items. In each of the merchant stalls, there will be at least one offering 50L, and many will also have 50% off items and new exclusive items, highlighted with specific tags, and discounted by 25% for the event.
In this first post, I let the ornate Conquistador Bath set from Artistan Fantasy take center stage, but my corset and mini-mini skirt outfit from On a Lark is another great find from this round. I used the Isadora Rustic Cottage from Trompe Loeil to house the Conquistador set and this also gave me the opportunity for a cheeky shot through one of the tower windows as the closing image.
Redeux is now open for the October round, running from the 14th to the 21st. There are plenty of discounted items on offer, including a L$50 offer from each merchant, and you will find everything from fashion to home & garden items. I decided to begin with a feature of the latter, showing some medieval buildings from Harshlands and some autumn decor by Artisan Fantasy.
As soon as I unpacked the Memorial Monument set from Artisan Fantasy, I knew I wanted to do something with it, but it took a while before all the pieces came together. However, once I received the Rihtual set from the Plastik as well as the Helianne headdress, I had an idea for how I wanted it to look. Of course, then it ended up spending an hour testing windlight settings and remodelling my surroundings because the framing of the shot just didn’t come out as I had imagined it. Sometimes it can be a bad idea to have too strong an image in your mind before you setup a shot and this was definitely one of those times. I finally arrived at something that I was mostly pleased with, even if it wasn’t quite what I had wanted from the start.
Noble Creations has a new furniture set out for the Fantasy Collective and it inspired me and Ran to bring out the outfits we bought at Genre’s Regency round, from the Muses and Last Ride, respectively.
Another taste of ROMP, with some furniture from Roawenwood, props by Artisan Fantasy, jewellery by the Plastik and a special set of appliers from Luxuria.
Artisan Fantasy releases a lot of high-quality props and furnishings, often with some kind of roleplay market in mind. For ROMP, they have released a large set of barn/stable themed pose props, as well as a few pieces of atmospheric add-ons, as the Stony Hollow collection. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for a bit of a roll in the hay, so to speak. Which means, yes, this is most definitely another NSFW post.
I tend to be the kind of person whose mind turns to endings rather than beginnings, so even though we’re at the start of a new year, I found myself drawn to using this pyre from Artisan Fantasy for my first blog of the year. Of course, for those who are more of the “glass is half full” mindset, a pyre might just call to mind the phoenix, rising reborn from the ashes.
