A little quickie as the end of the year approaches, to draw your attention to the fact that Zaara has released some of her delicious lingerie sets as appliers for Slink Physique and Maitreya’s Lara body. I am wearing the Chanchal set here, which has to be one of my all-time favourite sets from her. Its so barely there and yet so exquisitely detailed. The elegantly designed applier HUD offers five ways of wearing this set; in addition to being able to wear everything, the bra, the panties and the garter + stockings can each be worn on their own or you can wear the bra and panty together.
I am all made up of Slink parts today - hands, feet, body and even head - since there is a new round of My Slink Obsession in full swing. Adam n Eve has released a new skin, Charli, for this occasion and she is made for the Slink Visage mesh head (but you can also wear her as a regular skin). I am also wearing lingerie in the form of appliers for Slink Physique from Luxuria, though it is a regular in-store release.
If it wasn’t for foolish boasts and ill-considered promises, there would not be many fairy tales to tell. Rumpelstiltskin, the theme for the new round of Enchantment, is a prime example of both. As before, Enchantment is a stamp rally event, meaning that you purchase as many qualifying items from participating merchants that you want and each purchase gives you a stamp card. You then visit all the merchants to fill your card(s) with stamps and then you head off to the prize location to claim one prize per card. The event page has a visual key to all the prizes so that you can determine in advance how many cards you will need.
October 10th will see the opening of a new yearly event, Mystic Realms Faire. Two sims full of inspired creators offering skins, hair, clothing, accessories, furnishings, etc. The fantasy/roleplay field is probably starting to become oversaturated, both in terms of events and in terms of releases, but I admit that I still find that a welcome change from when there was hardly anything of that kind to be had. Still, it does mean that I get a bit pickier (not to say I wasn’t a bit picky before) and that I look more and more for things that show that extra bit of creativity that sets them apart from the rest.
I am mad for horses. Always have been and always will be. I am also mad for folklore, legends, mythology and all of that stuff (that’s where my obsession with fantasy started out). So, when I had my big myth phase as a child, I loved the stories with horses in the very best. Eight-legged Sleipnir, winged Pegasus born from blood and sea foam and of course Xanthos and Balios, the fabulous horses of Achilles who were the offspring of a harpy and the west wind. Greek mythology even has a collective name for the various wondrous horses that appear in the stories; they call them the “hippoi athanatoi”, the immortal horses. Hence, the name of our website.
As for this post…well, the Nike crown and wings from ieQED for The Gathering gave me an idea to play around a bit more with the Immortals gacha from Culprit.
This round of Genre is inspired by South Asia so I thought a stop over at Skye Glas for my photos might suit well enough as a background for this dress from Luminary. I am also wearing a new hair from Magika and new shoes from Bushu.
The Enchantment is about to fade away. At the end of this weekend, the Bluebeard round will close and the special prizes that you can get by buying a qualifying product and filling it with stamps from all the participating stores will be gone for good. You can see all the prizes on Enchantment’s website and I am featuring two of them in this post, from the Muses and Frogstar.
The cage prop is also a limited deal from Culprit for this round of the Neighbourhood.
Now that Slink has brought out an update to the Physique mesh body, I really needed to get some less dressed photos done. The Tortuga Princess gacha set from aisling for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival turned out to be just what I needed, especially in combination with the Garden Pavilion from Dysfunctional Designs for Collabor88.
A late-night quickie so that I get one more post in before I disappear for a few days to go to the WorldCon in London. The current rounds of Enchantment and We Love Role-Play provided so many great outfits and accessories that I feel as if I am still only scratching the surface. I will simply have to keep scratching when I come home!
Aisling has created two stunning jewellery sets for the current round of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The Sadhana is designed to have an Asian feel, which reminded me that I had a lovely tea house from Convair to blog. It seemed like a good setting for this seductive dancing girl, wearing a stunning array of jewellery and an eye-catching gown from deviousMind.
I really can’t seem to keep my clothes on for long lately. But when you have an elaborate accessory set like that Tallulah gacha from aisling for The Secret Affair I feel like you need to let it be the star of the show, so to speak.
This opulent gown by aisling was the perfect reason to head over to Venexia for some photos, and I had the perfect accessories in the rose wreath by ieQED and the boots by lassitude & ennui. Not to mention the gorgeous hair by Calico.
Is there such a thing as too much gold? Probably, but the Midas colour of the Ysandre dress from the Plastik isn’t it. In fact, it just inspired me to don some more gold, in the shape of some of aisling‘s recent releases as well as a pair of sun-golden sandals from Bliensen + MaiTai. Then I headed off to the Forgotten City for a bit of sight-seeing.
This post is the result of me nagging sachi Vixen to create a paler tone for her Genesis skin line. It showed up yesterday, in the shape of Taliya Fae and Taliya Goth, with appliers for both Physique and Visage. The Fae Visage HUD includes the return of some lovely flowery eye makeups that look just amazing on a mesh head and once I had put it all on I decided that for my next blog, I’d be an elf queen. Not a fantasy elf but a folklore elf, the kind that lures mortals to wondrous places beneath the hills. As it happened, a few pieces from We Love Role-Play‘s July round (which opens today) fit perfectly with what I had in mind.
It did not take long for Dutchie to give me a reason to shed my clothes once more, as the latest release—the Art Deco living room set—comes in both a PG and an Adult version. Froukje Hoorenbeek was kind enough to drop the Adult set on me earlier today and I had to take it for a spin right away. As it happened, it turned out to be a great way to give my Physique mesh body another workout and to showcase my new stockings from Adam n Eve and my new heels from lassitude & ennui.
