Alchemy Immortalis has done it again. That is, released a must-have jewellery collection. It is called “Deirdre of the Sorrows” and it is inspired by legendary Irish lovers, Deirdre and Naoise. The center-piece is a stunning, unisex ring but you can pick up a wide array of complimentary pieces as well.
Of course I had to shoot these pieces on their lovely Empress and Hierophant sim. I also needed a fabulous new red hair to go with the jewellery, which ended up being Truth’s new mesh release, Parisa.
With the Zarah necklace from Bliensen + MaiTai and the Bindi top from Sn@tch, both from Fashion for Life, the end result is a bit of a summery, bohemian look.
For my second Fashion for Life-post, I’ve paired some stunning new jewellery from Earthstones with a sexy silk from Solange.
Fashion for Life is back again, for the 6th year running. From March 10th to March 20th you can shop until you drop on NINE sims full of fabulous fashion. Best of all, you can contribute to the SL Relay for Life which collects money for the American Cancer Society.
I am going to start off with a focus on jewelry, because every gorgeous outfit needs that perfect finishing touch. Of course, in my first set of photos, the lovely hip chain in unrigged mesh from Maxi Gossamer is left to accessorize just the lovely, brand-new Tasha skin from Adam n Eve.
The second round of FLUX has started and the theme for this month is taxidermy. This has sparked some distinctly unusual and quirky creations that could inspire some very neat photography as well as some very fun, wearable items such as this mesh skirt from elymode and the jewellery set from Schadenfreude. I am also wearing a new mesh hair from Wasabi Pills for the March Mesh Madness event.
I have already shown several shots from the Ka’u Beach Skybox from Trompe Loeil for the Festival of Sin, but I’ve still got locations left to showcase. This time, I’m in the bath. I’ve also snuck in a lovely new couple pose from oOo Studios in the second photo and I am wearing the brand-new Yumi skin from Adam n Eve.
The Festival of Sin is still going strong. If Lust and Wrath aren’t your favourite sins, how about Greed? LAP has several great pose & prop sets to express a love for money with. Of course, a little Lust on the side is necessary, here in the form of the sexy Lussuria sets from elymode.
Using mesh yet? If so, you’ll definitely want to pay a visit to the first all mesh event, the March Mesh Madness which opens on March 1st. If you’re not yet a mesh user, this is a great opportunity to give a mesh viewer a trial and have a look at what can be accomplished with mesh.
Another post today? Indeed, we’re trying to make up for the lethargy following our visit to London over the weekend. For this post, how about a combination of Wrath and Lust from the Festival of Sin? It certainly doesn’t hurt (well, maybe a little) when one leads to the other…
For the Festival of Sin, Tableau Vivant has released a set of tableaus depicting different sins. They are wonderful, mood-filled pieces that can be used either with the included poses or as the backdrop for any pose you might want to use. I decided to try both approaches for these photos.
The very cool Festival of Sin opened this Saturday. After my initial preview post, I had hoped to have more photos out during the weekend, but it proved much too hectic as myself and my partner (who of course happens to be my blog partner and photographer as well) spent the weekend in London shooting a little something for HBO UK to promote the upcoming DVD release of Game of Thrones. I didn’t even manage to post this one shot we did just before taking off, featuring the Sin-exclusive releases from Sn@tch and Dark Mouse.
Are you ready to sin? The Festival of Sin begins this Saturday, the 18th of February, and offers a sim full of delightful vices. Whether you are feeling Lustful or Wrathful or if you favour another poison, there’s bound to be something for you. I’m in the middle of packing for a trip over the weekend, but of course I had to make sure to shoot some of my favourite finds so far; the Carnal dress from Solange, the makeups from elymode, the shoes from Ingenue and the poses from Adorkable. There’s also a glimpse of the necklace from Caroline’s Jewelry, but I’ll need a closeup of that later on.
I do like it when several recent acquisitions just come together as if made for each other. Nomine just released the Jailbait series, a set of Lolita-inspired dresses, and as it happened they went perfectly with the new mesh hair from elikatira, the Flutter boots from lassitude & ennui for the Back to Black event which opens today and the new group gift from Adam n Eve, the Amaris skin with a special Valentine makeup. I am also wearing mesh lashes from Beetlebones (you get a pack of 10 styles for L$250 and they are indeed easier to fit than non-mesh lashes) and using the new Glitterati poses from Collabor88, Formality.
I’ve said it before but it bears repeating: I love dressing up in just lingerie and jewellery. A new release from the talented camilla Yosuke of Insolence is today’s pretty underthings and the jewellery—which is all mesh—comes from a new and exciting brand called (after its creator) Maxi Gossamer, which so far can be found only on the Marketplace.
Flux is a new themed event with a great collection of talented creators taking part. The first installment is running from February 1st to February 27th and is Mardi Gras-themed. So, lots of green, purple and gold and plenty of festive items. I’ll be showing just a few examples in this first post, featuring designs from Sn@tch, Somnia and Schadenfreude. I am also wearing the latest skin from Adam n Eve and a new mesh hair from Wasabi Pills.
