Otherworldly

As I had guessed, the holidays were not conducive to blogging. But that’s alright, they were conducive to lots of good food and lots of reading. Now, however, I need to distract myself from the upcoming end (of the year, that is), so I have been doing a bit of landscaping on the sim again. With the help of the fatpack of Fanatik‘s Lofoten cliffs, red mountains and rocky islands have started cropping up on the sim. Our new desert area isn’t quite the way I’d like it yet (I need better sand textures and I need play around a bit more with the placement of the land forms set from Studio Skye), but its good enough to serve as the backdrop for these shots.

Wasabi Pills has a new hair called Rey out for Uber . The really exciting part is that it isn’t just a new style but it comes with brand new textures and a brand new HUD system. You now have over 100 textures to choose from (all with a roots option), distributed across eight colour packs (including a Basics pack). I am really loving the new colours, there are some gorgeous reds in particular, and having them in HUDs to cut down on the clutter is most welcome as well.

The beautiful crystal jewellery is the Plastik’s Diviner set, a recent mainstore release which contains so many different pieces (more necklaces, different earring styles, horns, belly ropes, etc) that this just represents a small fraction of them all.

The Caswen dress came from the Muses big sale on the Marketplace; I am not sure if anything remains of it now. Its fitted mesh and HUD controlled, so its a fatpack in one.

In the background, you see a little of our new desert landscape, which includes craggy red cliffs and a little oasis.
