On the second day of the Fantasy Faire, I visited the beautiful Dawn’s Promise sim, built by Marcus Inkpen and Sharni Azalee of The Looking Glass. Beautiful ruins and abundant flowers spread over this sim, where little islands are connected by arching bridges. Many of the elements used in the sim build are also available for purchase from The Looking Glass, which as a sim sponsor occupies pride of place on Dawn’s Promise. Many of them are sold as RFL items, including some shades of the gorgeous Blush Trees that sheds their beautiful rose/lilac flowers.
The flowers on the trees, as well as the general colour scheme of the sim, suited my gown from Silvan Moon Designs especially well. I have noticed the brand at a few fantasy events but not actually tried them out before. Now I can see that I should have, as both modelling and texturing is nicely done. The gown is fitted mesh with sizes available for standard sizes, Belleza, Maitreya and Slink.
The matching headpiece is of course part of the gown set, but the lovely necklace is another of the Plastik’s releases for the Faire. The included HUD offers a lot of different metals and stone colours, including some very RFL appropriate colours.
The hair is one of two new styles for women from Wasabi Pills, a very nice braid with loose tendrils around the face. It is available in the regular colours plus in special RFL colours as a donation item.
