Otherworldly

The spooky season may be over, but since October was a busy month for me, it seems I still have some darkness to work out. Or perhaps it is just a result of being inspired by some nifty releases such as the Arch to Hell from Fantavatar & Moonstruck and the Blind Prophet headcovering by lassitude & ennui. The latter is available at the just-opened November round of We Love Role-Play and features a peculiar kind of headcovering that covers your eyes and sports a pair of horns. In fact, it makes it look like the horns are part of you and the cloth draped over them and decorated with metal symbols. Its truly weird and unique.

The Arch to Hell is a spooky decorative element, perfect for hiding in the midst of a deep forest. Who knows what happens if you walk through that opening? The inviting pose in the second picture is Come, Little Children from Be My Mannequin and that had just the right sinister feel for this scene.

Rather less spooky but still a good fit with the floating draperty is the Celeste set from deviousMind. Or rather, two parts from the Celeste set. Celeste is available at the Secret Garden, formerly the Gacha Garden, and it is available as a fatpack or in NextUp vendors. NextUp is one of the systems replacing gachas after the ban and it means that you see what the next item in the vendor is and if you buy it you then get a set amount of time afterwards during which the vendor is locked to you while you decide if you want to buy the next item too. I am still on the fence as to the feeling of the system. Buying an item you know you don’t want to get the chance at the one you want coming up next is somehow harder to do than taking a wild stab in the dark on a gacha. However, for deviousMind where pretty much all commons are usable on their own, it is still a great way to pick up some cool fantasy outfits.
