Otherworldly

The massive new release from Fanatik is now out (11 new products, plus two new group gifts), which prompted me to return to the showcase sim yet again, this time in the guise of a wanderer exploring the rugged landscape. The new landscaping items and the sim built with them are inspired by St. Kilda, a remote Scottish archipelago in the North Atlantic, so it is no wonder that it reminds me a lot of the coast of Northern Ireland where we went on a tour a few years back to visit various filming locations for Game of Thrones. To visit the sim, head over to Fanatik’s main store and click the teleporter right at the front of the store. That is also where you will find all the new products.

Two bridges are part of the new releases; the one I am standing on is a group gift and in the background you can see the modular Roman bridge which can be made to varying lengths.

My outfit is one of two new releases (one male, one female) from the Dreaming Thicket for the Halloween Shop & Hop. It is an all-in-one outfit with tunic and pants.

The poses I am using are all from Serendipity’s Herman set, however I have modified the arm/hand positions on the second and third pose as there was some clipping. I modified them using the Animare PLUS HUD. It allows for quick and easy on the fly adjustment of poses and with the PLUS version of the HUD you can both export and import the changes you make so that you can apply them again later on. The PLUS version also allows you to adjust the poses of other avatars by giving them a guest HUD. Check it out at the October round of La Vie en Pose!

In the background, you see some of the larger land shapes from the new Fanatik release. I love how you can use them to create these fantastic coastlines and because they are so well optimized you can size them up and down without the land impact getting too costly.
