Otherworldly

The weather could not be more wintry in real life right now, as we just had some 30 cm of snow overnight. Glorious, I say, though quite the contrast to shooting the newest house from Barnesworth Anubis in our little desert. Also featured is a lovely dress by the Plastik, a classic updo from EMO-tions and an elegant furniture set from Roawenwood.

The Marrakech Riad, available for just L$288 at Collabor88, is a beautiful, open home that comes with a great deal of greenery to make it a true oasis in any desert. The central courtyard is the defining feature and this second-story room gives an excellent view of it.

The Kaciala gown from the Plastik is a mainstore release. Available in the 5 standard sizes and one fitmesh size, this is simple but very elegant gown. I particularly like the colours that shade from one hue to another.

From EMO-tions comes the Darlene style, released for the Secret Affair. A braid coils around the head, nicely softened by alpha textures that give the sense of wisps of hair. Its classic, elegant and sleek, just the kind of updo we need more of. It comes with an elaborate, winter-themed head accessory which I passed on wearing for these photos.

Available at the Liaison Collaborative January round is the Ashur Living set from Roawenwood. There’s a Middle Eastern feel to the theme of the set, so it fit in perfectly with the Marrakech Riad house. The two chairs, one with silk draped across it and one without, come with 17 different sit animations. At the event, the price is only L$413 (a 25% discount).
