Otherworldly

The Fantasy Faire is coming to an end today. I’ve only managed to showcase a small portion of the creations on offer there, so don’t miss this last chance to check it out. In particular, do give the RFL vendors an extra look to help make the amount raised by the Faire this year even more impressive.

For what may be my final post, I selected items from the Plastik, the Muses, Analog Dog, Eclectica and Eternal Dreams. I also added some non-Faire items—instead, they are from the Home Show—from Jian, a new brand launched by Kalia Firelyte.

Beginning with the Jian items, we have the lovely Yusri bird bath first, which here got to double as a scrying device. There are twelve different textures to choose from for the petals on top. The mosaic tiles are very convincing and at only one LI this is a a beautiful decoration that any garden can afford. The animated water texture is very nicely done. As a finishing touch, you can also add the included little robin, to show that the bath is indeed appreciated.

In the background, we have a collection of Ash trees in various sizes and configurations. These come with a very handy HUD that gives access to the Jian Foliage system. With the HUD, you can easily change either individual Jian foliage items, groups of items (such as all trees of a particular type) or all Jian foliage items on your sim from one season to another. I really liked that if I use the option to change all trees, the system does randomise it a bit for those seasons that offer more than one option.

Returning to the Fantasy Faire items, I am once again wearing the Valari skin by the Plastik, this time in the Vaedreus tone. I tinted a pair of the elf ears (fairy version) by Eclectica to match since I think the swirls on the ears go really well with the swirls on the skin. My hair is Petal by Analog Dog, the second of the store’s two styles at the Faire.

My outfit consists of Orchid by the Muses; the dress is sold in packs with gold or silver accents and a HUD for changing the other colours (separated into bodice, skirt and overskirt, and allowing for a lot of combinations that way), essentially giving you a fatpack for the price of one gown.The gown is also available in a special RFL colour combination (red and black) which is not otherwise obtainable. Its a wide, dramatic cut, with a really nicely plunging neckline.  The necklace is one of the RFL pieces by the Plastik, a beautiful rendition of the RFL Faire logo as a pendant. This is a lovely memento of the Faire and it includes two styles (this pendant on a long chain and a version on a shorter ribbon) for both men and women.

The final piece of the puzzle in these photos—the poses and props, that is—also came from the fair, from a new-to-me store called Eternal Dreams. They sent out quite an impressive collection of fantasy-themed poses to Faire bloggers and I was very happy to find a fit for a small part of that collection in this post. These poses are both from the Spells set.
