Puckish Charm

Fantasy Faire is drawing to a close, so best get cracking to get that last minute shopping do! Although fashion fairs tend to have a significant gender imbalance, with nine sims full of designers, there’s a great deal of items for men who want to jump into the fantasy world. I felt like going green, for my part, as you can see below with these items from De La Soul, Wasabi Pills, Exalted, LaNoire Soleil Designs, and House of Rain. Besides Wasabi Pills, all of these designers are new to me, so that makes it doubly exciting!

Something fae and impish seemed to suit the Faery Court sim at Fantasy Faire, where this photo was taken, and thankfully De La Soul’s Cerdeil Caleb skin in Jade fits the bill perfectly. It comes in quite a few tones, but the Jade suited my interests. A nice feature for this fantasy skin is that it comes with appliers for Slink’s hands and feet. Matched with it are the Strider pants, boots, and belt that are part of the full Strider costume from Exalted.

The mesh eyes I’m wearing here are actually from De La Soul as well, and were included with the blogger pack they sent. These particular eyes are called Magical, and they are indeed quite magical in appearance. The hair—and as you’ll know, I tend to like long hairs for men quite a bit—comes from Wasabi Pills, one of their newest releases. Named Darius, the rigged mesh hair comes in all the wide range of colors Wasabi Pills is known for, with matching hairbases. Wasabi Pills remains the best around when it comes to fantasy hair for men, I think.  For accessories, we’ve the horns from LaNoire Soliel designs. These are part of a sort of cyber-fantasy release, which means that the light effects look rather futuristic despite the fact that they’re demon horns!  And last but not least, the necklace is Vapor from House of Rain.

Even if you’re not planning to shop, a visit to the Fantasy Faire is a must for anyone who enjoys seeing interesting builds (and photographing them). Faery Court is just one of eleven sims associated with the Faire—two of them feature no sellers, acting as a general landing point and as the grounds of a sim-wide hunt associated with the it—and they’re all beautiful and interesting to look at, providing a diverse look at what fantasy means in Second Life.
