A lingerie-focused event sounds like just the thing for Second Life and in this post I am showing the first of two releases from Voluptas Virtualis for Frou Frou. Also featured are some lovely new earrings from the Plastik, a pavillion from Trompe Loeil and the new VIP Group Gift from Truth.

This is the last weekend of the Moroccan round of Genre, which means you will miss out on a lot of nice deals if you don’t get yourself over there! For my second post for this round, I decided to make use of one of the four Moroccan-inspired blogger backdrops from Zanzibar CreationZ as well as the lovely season-changing Argan tree from Little Branch.

Modern hairstyles sometimes throw me for a loop, but when I put on this sassy style from Wasabi Pills I knew it needed something sexy. In this case, a pearl harness from deviousMind, the new boots from lassitude & ennui and a couple of poses with class and attitude from the chair in the recently delivered Shadow Box from DRD.

For once there was something at We Love Role-Play that made Ran go “ooooh” (and hopefully there will be more in the future, with their new men’s section) and that ended up being the start of this photo. Black and red are Targaryen colours, after all, and I just happened to have a new gown from the Muses in the same colours. Add to that the awesome dragons from Aii which, although not right for Valyrian dragons, definitely add a special touch.

This is all rather inappropriate, but once I got the Alice boots from lassitude & ennui and the thigh high socks from Luxuria, I couldn’t help but to pair them with a couple of recent gachas—Anachron’s School Book Gacha and Roawenwood’s Kinky Back to School Gacha. My inventory is distinctly short on school uniforms, so went for the Vickie corset from Voluptas Virtualis, which I have shown before but which has so many colour and texture options that it certainly doesn’t hurt to show it again.

The first Shadow Box from Death Row Designs was released today and I have done my first unboxing vlog in quite a while. As I am travelling early tomorrow, I will be a bit brief in my written commentary and share a bit of what is written about the Shadow Box on the DRD website, which I linked above and which you should visit to find out more about how the subscription works.

The Blush event is closing in just a couple of days, so if you have not checked it out, make room for it on your calendar promptly. Otherwise you will miss, among other things, this sexy corset and the Primrose ribbon necklace, both from Voluptas Virtualis. I love this “Ancient Persian” set by Noble Creations for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, but I struggled for a few days to find the right location. Then Ran suggested that there was something organic about the metal shapes. I had been rejecting the idea of a forest setting, wanting more of a sword & sorcery look, but when I tried it out it turned out to be just right. I also added this cool staff from the Plastik which has a ton of colour options and matched the other set quite well.

I am still making my way through a backlog of great releases. Right now, I should have been enjoying the opening ceremonies of the European Championship in dressage, show jumping and driving in Gothenburg, but the con bug that plagued Ran last week has now sunk its teeth into me. So, here I am, blogging instead, to show off some great new pieces from deviousMind and the Plastik.

A few days ago, Genre’s Moroccan round opened and in this post I am featuring three releases from the event: the Senga gown from the Muses, the Weapons of the 40 Thieves wall-decoration from Paper Moon and the Moroccan Feast from the Half Moon Market. I am also wearing a gacha hair from Wasabi Pills from the Chapter Four.

The gown comes in several bright patterns and in fitmesh sizes for two Belleza bodies (Isis and Freya), Maitreya and both (yay) Slink bodies. The Weapons come in cool and warm shades and as a whole set or individual pieces.

The WorldCon in Helsinki is over and we’re starting to recover. We had a fabulous time going to panels, being on a panel, signing our book next to George R.R. Martin and of course going to parties. But now I am pleased to be sitting in my own chair for a while and travelling only within Second Life, which is a lot less strenuous! In order to do justice to as many as possible of the beautiful items that I have received over the last weeks, I will continue to keep my posts a little shorter for a while, to avoid being overwhelmed by the work.

This will be quick and dirty (well, okay, it could have been dirtier…) since we got back from two weeks of vacation yesterday and are taking off for the WorldCon in Helsinki in a few hours. I haven’t had the chance to blog at all during my vacation as the connection was too poor and my laptop too sluggish, so I have a list a mile long of review copies to get through. I’ve also not had the chance to check out any events that opened in this time frame, but most of the catch-up will have to wait until next Monday when I am back home for real. In the meantime, I simply had to show one of the many new releases from Voluptas Virtualis as well as the new skin from alskametro and two new releases from the Plastik.

Between a whirlwind trip to Madrid for a book signing and interview and packing for our proper vacation, I haven’t had a chance to blog for a good while. As it happened, the wait led to a nice opportunity to pair up Roawenwood’s latest set with a new collaboration from Fallen Gods and Faida. It also allowed for some naughty shots, and I never turn down an opportunity for those.

Last week, LightStar released another set of mesh heads, Maya and Rajan. As you know, I am a big fan of the LightStar heads and I really like that Krystal Silverweb tries to capture a very distinct look for each of her pairs. And speaking of pairs, I also think that it is great that they always come in pairs because the guys sure need more options! Now, if there would only be more Omega head appliers around, it would be even better. Fortunately, there are quite a few Omega head appliers for women these days, not the least after Adam n Eve’s store revamp which now offers every skin as LeLutka, Catwa and Omega.

Anyway, this is just a quick look at Maya, I really hope I will have time to also make a video, but we’ve got all sorts of travelling coming up so blogging and vlogging will be sparse.

The first edition of the Bound subscription box came out today at midnight SL time (I believe you can still subscribe for 24 hours after the release and get it for L$2000) and I have a preview for you in the shape of the item from Voluptas Virtualis, a sexy harness and mask with lots of options via the included HUD. I paired it with a pair of stockings from Luxuria and a new hair from Wasabi Pills with a bit of an edge to it.
