Time for an overhaul of your virtual kitchen? Then you should definitely be heading over to Uber for the current round, which happens to be their 10-year anniversary. Among the great new releases is one by Dutchie, a modular kitchen that will make it easy to setup your very own dream kitchen. Of course it uses the very latest in textures, meaning it takes advantage of PBR and requires a PBR-enabled viewer. This of course called for a video to really show that off as well as to demonstrate some of the animations.

The modular kitchen offers customisation of textures as well as how you arrange the set of base cabinets together with the additional pieces (sink, cooker, kitchen island, fridge and top cabinets). It comes in either a PG or an Adult version, 40 couple animations in the former and 100 in the latter. There are also over 30 animations rezzing scenes and props and the Adult version is compatible with Aeros and The Physics Cock as well as the Lovense Sex Toy. This is, however, an entirely PG video as I didn’t have Ran on hand for showing any of the couple animations. Too bad, because I think the Maggie outfit from Faida (here worn on Inithium Khara) is a really cute little outfit. And I like the attitude of Wasabi’s Starlight hair, with several thin braids and optional glowing bands woven into them.

The last weeks of summer are here, lazy and golden. I don’t have a swing in my garden, so I have to settle for lounging on one virtually instead, again courtesy of Dictatorshop who has released three different styles of swings recently. I already showed one suited to a beach and here is one of two intended for a garden setting. The other is a single-person swing whereas this one offers male and female single poses but also couples cuddles and a version with adult animations to take your swinging to new heights. Pun definitely intended.

This Loveseat Swing from the Secret Garden series includes texture options for both wood and fabric as well as foliage options for the tree for different seasons. There are 70 PG couple animations and 180 Adult Vanilla options.

The fanciful outfit is a new NextUp set from deviousMind, featuring a roses & thorns motif with swirling skirt attachments. There are several different ways to wear it depending on which sets you manage to win.  Worn with it is the latest Truth Collective release from Truth and Wasabi, a high ponytail which falls over one shoulder and can be worn with and without bangs.

The benefits when it comes to textures is amazing and showcased beautifully in the latest release from Fanatik, the Altamira Cavern. With this building kit you get 26 mesh building elements, 6 props and a texture HUD that includes 3 variations on the rock materials. You also get 7 pre-built cave examples, to give a sense of what you can do with this kit. I headed over to Fanatik’s own demo on their sim and shot a quick little video to show off the beauty of the PBR textures. As usual, you can find credits at the end.

What could be better than lazing about on a swing hung from a palm tree, soothed by the gentle sound of waves? Well, perhaps doing so together with your lover and getting up to something naughty? Whatever you prefer, the Palm Swing from the Bondi series by DICTATORSHOP has you covered. It includes sits and lays for a single avatar, PG couple poses for MF, FF and MM and Adult couple poses for MF, FF and MM. Texture options are included for both for the palm tree and for the swing.

A bikini might have been more comfortable, but I love the look of this Petrichor & Ersch release for Kinky Monthly.  As always, you get a ton of texture options via the HUD.

My hair is the latest release from Wasabi, a short, summery style out for Anthem.

Back from vacation IRL and as usual exhausted by it, so only slowly getting back into things. Before I left, I did not have time to use this gown from Lorien for July’s round of We Love Role-Play, so I wanted to rectify that. Fortunately, since the event always takes a break in August, the July round is still up and available.

The Karen outfit is a linen gown with a tooled belt and some modest detailing, making it suitable for a woman of some means, if not a noble lady. Here, the mistress of the house is inspecting the kitchens, perhaps in advance of an important meal. The kitchen furnishings, as well as the house itself, are earlier releases from Del-ka Aedilis.

I am heading off on vacation tomorrow and will only have my laptop for a couple of weeks, so I am not expecting to do much—if any—blogging. But before heading out, I just had to show a few more pieces from We Love Role-Play.

Alia Baroque’s Libertine brand offers decadent furnishings and the Swan daybed is no exception. Rich textures (there’s a variety of fabrics included) draw your eye, inviting a virtual touch. The Swan comes in Adult and Mature versions, with both single (male and female) and couple poses (cuddles, sex, vampire).  In the background, I added the rustic mirror from Constraint, well suited to the roughness of the bare castle walls. Finally having real mirrors can add so much depth and life to a scene.

I thought the Leigh fantasy lingerie from deviousMind was a great match for the Swan, seeing as its a fanciful mix of pearls and feathers. Very minimal and very pretty.

Deep in the desert, a tall gate reaches towards the sky. It is set in no wall and seems to offer entrance into nothing at all, yet legends warn against passing between the enormous pillars. Those who have, or so it is claimed, have never been seen again.

Out now at We Love Role-Play, the awesome Metatron Gate by Vae Victis is a huge piece of fantasy decor, with beautiful texturing and detail. Up close, there are swirls of energy along the insides of the pillars. The HUD allows you to mix and match 5 metal textures across different parts of the pillars.

The gate made for an excellent backdrop in this desert scene, where I am also showing off Rakshasa’s release for WLRP, the Roman-inspired Stefanos outfit (with a sword from LR Weapons added to it). The outfit is highly customizable in terms of the textures and colours, offering both clean and bloody or tarnished versions.

Another round of We Love Role-Play awaits you and my first picks for showcasing from the July round is an expansive Roman merchant set from Del-ka Aedilis and a collar from Drunken Brokkr. The merchant set includes a variety of excellent decor pieces for furnishing a Roman (or Roman-inspired) shop—or a kitchen, for that matter—and the collar works as a slave collar for a variety of settings as it offers texture options for both the leather and metal. I decided to setup a scene of a wealthy household’s slave girl shopping for her mistress; already her basket is full of previous purchases. I took some liberties with her dress from Senzafine (available at Midsummer Enchantment, which closes today), it is rather too fancy and more Grecian-inspired than Roman, and her pretty leather shoes from lassitude & ennui aren’t precisely Roman either.

With the new Firestorm release finally out, PBR has gone mainstream—or at least headed quickly towards it. In addition to the update to the beautiful vanity, Dutchie also has a couple of free-standing mirrors out. I decided to combine showing off one of those with a few new pieces from DICTATORSHOP’s Luxe range, including a an elegant chair which in this version includes Adult animations and lapdances. There are definitely some very saucy options to be had, as well as cuddles and both Maledom and Femdom animations. My favourite among the other decor pieces is the light on the table, which has options for adjusting for example colour, radius and intensity. And speaking of DICTATORSHOP, do not miss out on their store-wide 50% off anniversary sale which starts today.

The sexy outfit is a Petrichor & Ersch collaboration for the Warehouse Sale. Through the HUDs you can change not only the texture but the opacity and length of the dress. The leather harness is worn separately, and you can also turn off the top or bottom if you prefer to use just one part. The hair, with its thick waves, is Tide by the Truth Collective (Truth and Wasabi in this case) for Kustom9, and it includes four different styling versions.

Remember the Tempest Whip from DICTATORSHOP? They have a new whip out at We Love Role-Play using the same animations but with a very cool new look that fits the role-play theme; it is a whip of electricity.  The handle has a steampunk look go with the name—the Tesla Whip—and the sounds are new as well, providing different crackling noises as you hold or swing your whip. I decided to imagine it as a weapon and went out hunting for demonic creatures in what I might call a fantasy version of a Lara Croft outfit. Both the outfit by Jangka and the Samaeal winged snake by Axis Mundi are also available at WLRP.

This “bubble braid” style by Wasabi, with two cute loose curls in the front, seemed like a great fit with the outfit, stylish yet conveniently out of the way.

Second Life has finally launched mirrors, PBR terrain and 2K textures. I am excited about all of these improvements, but especially mirrors. As it happened, I was working on setting up for a video to show some of Dutchie’s latest releases when this news dropped and Firestorm quickly got out a beta version that supported these changes.  That made it very easy to slip in a brand new (not yet released) version of Dutchie’s vanity, updated to use true mirrors rather than the reflection probe work-around that became possible with the initial launch of PBR. So, you get a video of me preening in front of the mirror, with some bonus looks at the gorgeous use of PBR materials on these pieces. I also want to remind everyone of Hair Fair which runs until the 16th of June and where you can get the cool style-changing hair from No.Match that I am using in the video.

The latest release from Del-ka Aedilis is a set of Roman cult shrines to various deities, each with different offerings of fruits and breads. You’ll find these at the current round of We Love Role-Play and while there were not truly Roman dresses or accessories this round, I decided to create more of a fantasy priestess look to go with the shrines.

First, we have the Sassa dress from Rakshasa. I absolutely adore the options this dress comes with as you can have long, short or no sleeves and you have tons of different sections that you can choose different textures for. I went for different hues of leather, imagining a somewhat archaic look for this priestess.  She also wears a headdress from Bliensen + MaiTai which happens to fit really well with the Karma hair from the Truth Collective, a style which has a braid and also a small section tied off on the top of the head. The headdress has a nice patina, making it look like something that has been in use for a long time.

She also has footwear from lassitude & ennui, but the shots I ended up using do not show them enough so I will have to revisit them.

The warrior creeps through the woods, approaching the clearing with caution. In the middle of it stands a mossy throne, lit by the flickering flames of two torches. Certain that there is no ambush awaiting her, she approaches the throne, her spear in hand.

Tomorrow, a new round of We Love Role-Play opens, offering a great selection of new releases at discounts of 15% to 30%. Almost entirely kitted out by the event, my orc warrior has skin (with great muscle definition!), eyes and tattoos by Fallen Gods, wears an outfit by Athe Fantasy and carries a naginata by Thorn. The Tempest Bullwhip is the latest release from DICTATORSHOP. It features original mocap animations for both single and dual wielding, depending on which version you opt for (Standard, Advanced or Expert). Realistic whip sounds are included and you can customise the look of the whip with a tinting hud. To show off the animations, I just had to make a video. I had still planned to write a bit more about the whip and the sexy new dress from Petrichor & Ersch, but after my dog training today I have a nasty rope burn on the back of my left knee, so sitting down is rather uncomfortable! Of course, I have still added the credits at the end of the post.

In the midday heat, the dusty frontier town lay quiet. A horse rested at the watering trough outside the saloon, lazily swishing at flies with its tail. A pretty redhead leaned against one of the posts, idly watching it.
